ARTWORK CARE
Caring for your oil painting
Display indoors, away from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture, and significant changes in temperature or humidity.
Dust gently when needed using a clean, soft, dry brush. Avoid water, household cleaners, solvents, or cleaning products on the painted surface.
When handling the artwork, hold it by the frame or wooden stretcher bars and avoid touching the painted surface.
Oil paint continues to cure gradually over time. Avoid placing anything directly against the painted surface, particularly during the first year.
If the painting requires cleaning, restoration, or revarnishing in the future, professional conservation is recommended.
Transport & storage
Keep the artwork upright and protected from pressure or impact. If storing for an extended period, keep it in a clean, dry environment and avoid plastic or other materials resting directly against the painted surface.
